DIRECTIONS TO DISCOVERY SAILING PROJECT HEADQUARTERS AT UNIVERSAL MARINA

(Please note that there are frequent speed camera traps on the A27)

Approaching from West

From M27 take junction 8. Follow signs towards ‘Hamble’ follow sign to Southampton B3024 up to roundabout.

Take first exit on to A27 to Park Gate, Sarisbury Green, Fareham, Portsmouth. Continue on this road for approx 1½ miles (up and down hill).  Pass under a railway bridge and over the river.  Leave Swanwick  Marina (Premier) on your right – keep straight on.  Road climbs up hill – 2 lanes up and 1 down. NOTE: this is a 30 mph speed limit! 

As the road narrows back into one lane at the brow you will see a cricket green (on right) and some shops on your left.  Indicate to turn right in to Barnes Lane just before Church…………..

Approaching from East

From M27 take junction 9. This leads on to a ‘slip road’ that is about 1.2 miles long! At the roundabout turn left following signs to Fareham and W. Segensworth.  In approximately quarter of a mile get in to right hand lane for a very large roundabout. Continue right round this following signs for Southampton A27 (Burseldon – Park Gate – River Hamble). 

Continue over three roundabouts for approximately one mile.  The public house ‘Bold Forester’ will be seen on right hand side. Just after this turn left at a Church and just before the village green into Barnes Lane (signposted Warsash)………….

 ......Having turned in to Barnes Lane (with signpost to Universal Marina on the churchyard wall) continue some 60 yards and turn right in to Holly Hill Lane, just by Village Hall.

Continue approx 300 yards and turn right in to Crableck Lane at new housing estate (signposted Universal Marina).

You are now on the lane to the boatyard.

As you enter the Marina the road will bear to the right.  Follow the road to the T junction and turn left.  Turn left again into large car park.  Our unit is second from the top of the row on the right hand side.  (You may see our sign over to the left as you enter the Marina.)
